This month is crazy!
First, all my M.A. application paper work was on the 2nd, and I thankfully got it all in. I'm really excited to get back into school!
My boyfriend's birthday was on the 3rd. We hardly celebrated, I'm going to be giving him a proper celebration next weekend
I'm preparing to teach art classes, which is extremely exciting. I LOVE teaching what I know about art. I'm sure this will also give me a chance to improve myself as well. I will be a process, but I know it will be fun! I can't wait!
My sister AND boyfriend's graduate are at the end of this month. One is on a Friday, and the other is the next morning. It's gonna be craaaaaazy.
Fun and exciting month, but I think I'll be glad when it's over heh....

New inspiration!

I've been pretty inspired by 
and her "Draw Something Every Day" challenge. Her speed paintings are so magnificent, but so simple. I love the scenes she does from different Disney movies. I've thought about doing something like that too, and seeing her renditions have really motivated me! I started working on one, and I'm trying to finish it so I can upload it asap. I also want to get on some Art Jams! I have to keep up the drawing, when I get into a slump of not drawing for a while it gets to me. YOSH!

Holidays are here!

So far I've been enjoying the autumn weather very much. The rain outside the window really gets my artistic juices flowing! I love snuggling in a blanket with some hot tea while watching TV and getting my drawing on.
This month I did a quick commission for a friend who will be giving it to her boyfriend for their three-year anniversary. I'm so angry at myself though for not scanning it before handing it over!! I'll see if I can somehow borrow it for a bit to upload it.
I'm also doing another quick commish - a digital comic book cover that I have to get done in the next two weeks. I'm pretty sure I can do it; I did do my dad's in only four days.
I always start the holidays completely ambitious by deciding to make all the gifts I give. Of course I always run out of time!! If I follow through, I'll have made six drawings. We'll see!

Autumn is here

Summer is over and it was a good one. The weather was great, the company was awesome, and I have a huge folder of summer pictures. Even though autumn has begun the weather is much hotter now though, I can't wait for cooler days. OR the rain!
It sounded like the Flexcom project and conference went over very well. I was really happy when I was told how many people loved the drawing-- it made all the hours toward that project very worth it. I love what I do! I have to get on the phone with my web hosting IT people so they can finally connect with the URL. --The web site will be up soon--
Currently working on a seahorse commission. Steve has been so patient by allowing me to focus on the big Flexcom commish, so I'm now giving his my full attention. I'm excited to see how it turns out.
